Cigarette Butt Solution: Prepare a mixture by combining 5 grams of cigarette butts with 70 to 80 grams of water. Let it soak for 24 hours, lightly rub the mixture, and strain it through gauze. Then, use this infused water to hydrate your plants. Small flying insects will soon be banished. Typically, about ten cigarette butts can be used with one mineral water bottle.

Soap Water Solution: Create a 1:200 mixture of washing powder and water (soap water). To enhance its efficacy, add a few drops of vegetable oil and stir thoroughly. Spray this solution using a sprayer, ensuring there are no oil splashes on the surface when applying.

Fresh Orange Peel Soak: Soaking fresh orange peels in water and then pouring it into flower pots (after soaking it for the same day) can effectively eliminate small flying insects within a few days.

Zanthoxylum Bungeanum Soak: Soaking Zanthoxylum bungeanum in water and using this infusion to water your plants can also help in insect removal.

Sweet and Sour Insect Trap: Exploit the chemotaxis of insects by using a sweet and sour liquid to attract and kill them. Here’s how to do it: add sweet and sour liquid to a small container, sprinkle a bit of insecticide into it, and place it near the affected plants. After about half an hour, you’ll find numerous dead insects. However, keep in mind that this method may not completely eradicate small flying insects but can help in reducing their numbers.

These time-tested folk remedies offer effective solutions for dealing with small flying insects, allowing you to enjoy a pest-free environment in your home and garden.
