In Dingyuan County, Anhui Province, the flower industry is experiencing significant growth as greenhouses in Qingshan village become a focal point for intelligent flower planting. This project, spanning 50,000 square meters, integrates various elements, including high-quality flower cultivation, leisure activities, sightseeing, educational tours, and the creation of cultural and creative flower products.
The comprehensive industrial chain encompasses flower and seedling planting, as well as the production and sale of potted plants. This initiative has not only facilitated the development of high-efficiency agriculture but has also contributed to an increase in farmers’ incomes.
The project’s success is evident in its annual sales, which have reached an impressive 3 million pots of high-quality flowers. These products are primarily distributed to cities such as Hefei, Fuyang, Nanjing, Changzhou, and Xuzhou, generating an annual revenue of 50 million yuan ($6.9 million).
Beyond the economic impact, the project has created employment opportunities, offering 60 jobs to nearby villagers. Additionally, it has boosted the village’s annual collective income by 1.4 million yuan. The integration of technology and agriculture in this flower industry project exemplifies a successful model for sustainable and profitable rural development.
