At this moment, dahlias take center stage, heralding Gianina Thaoxaochay’s favorite season alongside her husband, owners of the flourishing farm.

“It’s a lot of work, but it’s incredibly serene. Every day brings new changes,” Gianina remarked, reflecting on the farm’s bustling ambiance.

Listening keenly to consumer preferences, Touteng and Gianina Thaoxaochay have expanded their offerings to meet growing demands for flowers and herbs.

“We cultivate a variety of herbs such as French tarragon, chives, basil — including Thai, purple, and Italian varieties — along with oregano and sage,” Touteng detailed.

Responding to customer enthusiasm, Gianina added, “Our patrons adore our produce, which has spurred us to introduce more vegetables.”

GT Farms showcases its bounty every Wednesday at the Market on Kern and on Saturdays in Old Town Clovis, where they peddle an assortment ranging from squash to strawberries, including distinctive purple and white bell peppers.

Despite the challenges of farming, the Thaoxaochays have managed to put five children through college on their 20-acre farm.

“Although the labor is demanding, being out here is tranquil, allowing us to work at our own pace,” Touteng observed.

The sight of blooming flowers never fails to delight their customers.

“People are thrilled to see them. Some have even expressed interest in volunteering,” Gianina revealed, though she has yet to accept any offers.

As the seasons change, GT Farms remains a testament to the dedication and passion of its owners, continuing to bring joy and fresh produce to the community of Fresno County.
