Kilwinning, Scotland – Kilwinning Horticultural Society is pleased to announce the much-anticipated return of the Kilwinning Flower Show, scheduled for August 29th this year. Established in 1856, this beloved community event is a cornerstone of the town’s cultural calendar, traditionally held on the last Thursday in August.
Participants are encouraged to start preparing their entries across a variety of categories, which include cut flowers, pot plants, vegetables, floral art, baking, beers and wines, handicrafts, as well as dedicated sections for children and novices.
Following the success of the 2023 edition, organizers are eager to uphold the event’s legacy of excellence. This year’s festivities will take place at the Abbey Church Hall, where exhibits can be displayed starting from 7 to 10 PM on the Wednesday preceding the event, or between 7 to 10 AM on Thursday, August 29th.
Judging of entries will commence promptly at 10 AM, with doors opening to the public at 2 PM. Attendees can look forward to a delightful afternoon featuring a tearoom offering a selection of teas, coffees, pancakes, and scones.
