Located off Highway 180 and South Reed Avenue in Sanger, the Sunflower Farmstand initially garnered attention last fall for its pumpkin patch. Michael Strambi, who operates the farmstand with his wife, provided YourCentralValley.com with a virtual tour showcasing the new summer features.

Fresh Produce: Known for its abundant supply of fruits and vegetables, the farmstand has raised the bar this season. Strambi emphasized the exceptional quality of their latest harvest. “We’re in the prime time for peaches, plums, and nectarines,” he noted. “We have beautiful fruit.”

Sunflowers: True to its name, the farmstand boasts a vast array of sunflowers, which have thrived under the summer sun and began blooming two weeks ago. “In addition to the sunflower maze, we’ve got a big you-pick garden this year,” Strambi shared. “People can come out and harvest their own sunflower bouquet.”

Butterfly House: Strambi and his wife are now raising butterflies, releasing them into an enclosure every two to three weeks. “I never in my life thought I would be raising butterflies,” he remarked.

The Sunflower Farmstand continues to feature popular attractions such as the animal area and sunflower maze. Additionally, Strambi plans to introduce gardening classes, offering the community a chance to learn from a third-generation farmer.

The stand will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., seven days a week throughout the summer.
