“It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime creation that surpasses our wildest dreams,” expressed Carmen Edgar-Hagopian, one of the visionary florists spearheading the project.

Collaborating closely with her colleague, Tamara Anderson, Edgar-Hagopian brought to life floral interpretations of country music legends Garth Brooks and Reba McEntire.

Part of the renowned Fleurs de Villes exhibit, this floral paradise showcases 22 intricate floral mannequins throughout the 10-day duration of the Calgary Stampede.

“We’ve had the incredible opportunity to breathe life into these beloved country music icons using fresh botanicals,” shared Edgar-Hagopian, proprietor of Violet & Co.

The meticulous process spanned meticulous planning, strategic floral sourcing, and ensuring the vitality of the larger-than-life floral sculptures for the duration of the Stampede.

For these Calgary artisans, showcasing their craftsmanship on a global stage like the Stampede is the ultimate reward for their dedication.

“To adorn this venue with such elegance, using these iconic figures from country music to showcase our floral artistry — it feels like a perfect convergence,” Anderson remarked.

Fleurs de Villes promises an aromatic and visually stunning experience, open for public admiration until July 14. Attendees are invited to savor the fragrance and cast their votes for their favorite country-themed installation.
