Da Nang, Vietnam—The newly inaugurated beach flower walk along Vo Nguyen Giap Street has swiftly become a magnet for visitors seeking to revel in its picturesque floral displays and captivating artistic installations since its opening on July 5th.
Crafted to introduce a fresh summer attraction for both locals and tourists alike, the initiative was spearheaded by the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches. Stretching from the Vo Van Kiet intersection to Sao Bien Beach, this enchanting promenade boasts 13 distinct clusters, each bedecked with a vibrant assortment of tropical blooms and stunning art pieces. The installations, illuminated to spectacular effect at night, lend an array of colors to Da Nang’s coastline, complementing its verdant landscapes and serving as a visual delight.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, Head of the Management Board, emphasized the collaborative effort behind the project, involving local businesses to ensure environmental cleanliness and enhance the allure of the flower walk with creative floral embellishments.
Clusters along Vo Nguyen Giap Street include the Wind Flower Garden, employing stainless steel and sea-breeze-responsive flowers near Lang Ong Park. Further south, the DA NANG BEACH signage provides a distinctive landmark visible from surrounding streets. Meanwhile, installations like “Fish Strolling on the Beach,” crafted from recycled bicycles, and “Sailboats,” utilizing repurposed wood and fabric, dot the landscape, adding unique thematic touches.
Visitor reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Nguyen Thi Quynh An, visiting from Phu Tho Province for the 2024 International Fireworks Festival, praised the road’s enchanting designs. Likewise, Hwang Seo Jin from South Korea, experiencing the flower walk for the first time, lauded its diversity and charm.
