In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the 2004 Lake Hamana Flower Expo, which drew in a staggering 5 million visitors, Lake Hamana Flower Expo 2024 is poised to enchant audiences next spring, as tickets have officially gone on sale.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Hamana, this vibrant event will unfold over nearly two months at two distinct venues: Hamamatsu Flower Park, open from March 23rd to June 16th, and Hamanako Garden Park, welcoming visitors from April 6th to June 2nd.
Guests will have the opportunity to revel in the splendor of magnificent gardens, such as the globally renowned ‘Cherry Blossom and Tulip Garden,’ widely celebrated as one of the most captivating floral displays worldwide. Notably, these gardens have been crafted by distinguished garden designers, including the illustrious Kazuyuki Ishihara, a recipient of 12 gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show. Ishihara’s extraordinary talents have garnered praise from the late Queen Elizabeth, who fondly referred to him as ‘the gardening magician.’
Furthermore, the expo will introduce exclusive, cutting-edge gardens, accompanied by interactive digital installations and Japan’s largest nighttime projection mapping, offering an immersive and innovative experience for all attendees.
