While Kiser’s journey into floral design wasn’t a deliberate career choice, his venture, Bottega de Flores, has rapidly gained traction. Originally, his creative pursuits began as a means to enhance the aesthetic of his new home during the height of the pandemic. Frequenting the grocery store, Kiser picked up flowers, creating small arrangements for his living space. As he shared his colorful creations on Instagram (@bottegadeflores), the response was transformative.

What started as a hobby quickly evolved into a burgeoning business. The initial inquiries, mainly from friends wanting recreations of his arrangements, swiftly expanded to more elaborate requests, such as dinner arrangements, wedding floral arches, and oversized centerpieces for themed events. Today, Bottega de Flores is thriving, serving clients with daily deliveries and grand installations.

Kiser’s clientele has grown beyond his early days of purchasing flowers at the grocery store, now collaborating with a floral wholesaler for a more extensive selection. Known for his colossal and imaginative installations, Kiser has crafted impressive designs, ranging from a 20-foot table adorned with lime-hued florals and neon green-painted palm leaves for a Fitish event to a fairy tale-worthy 7-foot-tall installation for a Watters fashion shoot.

Noteworthy projects include a moody Basquiat-themed tablescape at Monarch, a stunning display of thousands of red roses for Nastia Liukin’s birthday celebration, and over 80 arrangements for a Dallas Contemporary and Saks collaboration at the Thompson Dallas hotel.

Despite Kiser’s limited formal floral education, primarily gleaned from online platforms like YouTube, his childhood affinity for flowers has seamlessly translated into a distinctive artistic career. His passion for floral design, evident since childhood, has now become a professional pursuit that continues to bring joy and creativity to his projects.

As Bottega de Flores expands its footprint, Kiser remains committed to infusing joy into his work, embracing each project’s potential for fun and innovation. His aspirations include the transformation of entire rooms through immersive installations, aspiring to create miniature worlds within his designs.

In the world of Bottega de Flores, Nolan Kiser aims to perpetuate the joy and creativity that fuels his unique floral visions.
