The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has initiated a project to create a valley of flowers along the banks of Sidhwan Canal near Pakhowal Road.
The flower bed will be designed to resemble the national flag of India, with work already underway at the site.
The initiative aims to transform a previously unused space, once a dumping ground for debris and waste from canal cleaning drives. The newly envisioned flower valley is part of the city’s efforts to enhance green spaces, following the development of Sidhwan Waterfront and Leisure Valley under the Smart City Mission. Residents have welcomed the move, urging similar projects in other parts of the city.
