Suntory Flowers Secures Patents for Orange and Yellow Mandevillas

Suntory Flowers has been granted patent protections for specific pigments in mandevilla hybrids, resulting in distinct orange and yellow tones. The U.S. patent covers varieties such as Sun Parasol Apricot, Sun Parasol Original Sunbeam, and Sun Parasol Giant Peach Sunrise, along with a new upright variety to be introduced at the Tropical Plant International Expo.

Two additional protected varieties, Calypso Limone and Samba Coral Pinwheel, are licensed to Fernlea Flowers.

Suntory Flowers aims to enhance the horticultural possibilities and market potential of the mandevilla genus through these patented technologies.
